My name is ZE EKO Fanny Oceanne, a Level Three student at the Advanced School of Mass Communication (ASMAC) and the creator of Yaounde Society, a digital platform designed for young university students and student entrepreneurs in Cameroon, with a special focus on Yaoundé.
Yaounde Society was created in an academic environment as part of a digital communication and web journalism project at ASMAC. It fills an important gap by offering useful, inspiring, and practical content that reflects the realities, ambitions, and challenges faced by young people balancing academic life with entrepreneurship and personal development. The blog shares student stories, opportunities, entrepreneurial ideas, and practical advice in response to the growing visibility of student entrepreneurship in Cameroon.
The blog has clear academic, professional, and personal objectives. Academically, it serves as a hands-on space to practice web writing, content editing, information structuring, multimedia integration, blog management, SEO, and digital publishing. Professionally, Yaounde Society helps build a strong digital portfolio, showcase communication skills, develop an online identity, and prepare for careers in media, journalism, and digital communication. On a personal level, it creates a genuine space for youth expression, promotes student voices, encourages entrepreneurship, and builds a long-term project that remains useful even after graduation. Yaounde Society is dedicated to young Cameroonian students who are ambitious, innovative, and ready to grow.
